It all started with a humble beginning that was rooted in passion, dedication, and the spirit of entrepreneurship. In 2019 out of a basement, the original business was founded by Joshua Carr, an Army Ranger with a vision. He started with a single car shared on Turo and $1000. Mistakes were made and lessons learned, but from this small start, Joshua worked tirelessly on the business alongside Alexandra, and they steadily grew one car at a time to our fleet, now boasting over 50 vehicles and a dedicated team of six individuals. From rescuing abandoned vehicles left in Florida to a car breaking down in times square on New Year’s Eve, it has been an adventure every step of the way.
Alexandra, who works as a nurse concurrently, helped pour her heart and soul into building this business while giving back to the community as a medical professional serving the community. Their commitment to excellence, coupled with their desire to learn and grow, always resulted in Turo recognizing us as one of the top 100 Turo hosts in the nation.

In 2023, we took our commitment to the next level by launching our direct rental service Overdrive Car Rentals. This step allowed us to provide competitive rates to our customers while also giving back to the community that has supported us along the way. So many times, customers have brought up the high fees that they faced from traditional car companies or our Turo fleet, and now we can provide services directly to you without hidden costs. As we’ve expanded, we’ve proudly served over 3,000 customers and continue to grow each day.
